生命是需要有仪式感的。所以每逢年过节，大家总是会团聚在一起庆祝即将来临的“好事”。但在这些团聚庆祝的“好事”里，却有着一群想尽办法逃避庆祝“好事”的人。他们都有个别不想庆祝的理由。为了避开这个普天同庆的日子，他们想尽办法逃避，至到最后他们发现自己恐惧的，不是别人的关心和热闹的团圆人生，而是自己脆弱不堪的心灵！  

以父母子女亲情、爱情、友情，为主轴，通过新春，情人节，生日甚至是葬礼这些团聚的日子，展现这些努力生活的小人物，有关他们用力相爱的真情冷暖和酸甜苦辣。其实即使生活再糟，却永不缺少美丽的心灵和永恒的阳光。  
 
Four families that dislike celebratory occasions living in the same apartment building face unexpected troubles when different obstacles come their way. How will they face these challenges and ultimately achieve true happiness? 

Life is often full of twists and turns, with seemingly good things bringing unexpected difficulties or challenges behind them. Even when we think good things are coming, we must remain cautious, as surprises and setbacks can happen at any time. The characters in the story have all experienced the arrival of seemingly good things, only to discover that behind these "good things" lie greater difficulties, and even greater pain. 

 

故事将围绕着几位住在同一栋组屋的小人物而展开，通过单元剧的形式，讲述了4段关系与“好事”相关的故事。 

The story will revolve around several small people living in the same HDB flat, and through the form of a unit drama, it tells stories of four relationships related to "Good Things". 

厨师克勤被诈骗，以为女儿被绑架，实则女儿和妻子彩兰在逛街。克勤被骗，彩兰大怒，年夜饭又被弟弟弟媳比下去。次日，剑仁偷走彩兰的车。彩兰提离婚，克勤接警局通知，剑仁自杀。彩兰回家发现一袋巨款，引发疑团。  
Ke Qing is scammed that thought his daughter is kidnapped, while she's shopping with Cai Lan. Jian Ren steals her car, leading to a divorce demand. Later, a mysterious bag of money raise more questions. 

彩兰虽害怕，但是仍然挥霍。两人前往酒店遇到阿凤，并威胁二人交钱。彩兰撒谎说钱已交给克勤。最终阿凤被抓，家人和解，但巨款去向成谜。彩兰发现家中钜款后。第二天，剑仁的妻子阿凤找上门，认定钱在他们手中。  

Cai Lan found a large sum of money. The next day, Jian Ren's wife, Ah Fung, threaten them, demand it. Cai Lan lies, saying it's with Ke Qing. Ah Fung is arrested, but the money’s fate remains unclear.. 

单身的花圃老板维彬为了避年准备出国，却因意外未能成行，同时父亲逼他交女友。无奈之下，维彬下载了交友App，找到一位出租女友Megan。初次见面双方印象不佳，维彬打算取消契约，但Megan却主动找上门，意外赢得父母的喜爱，维彬只得继续配合演戏。  

Single florist Weibin planned to travel abroad to avoid the New Year but was forced to stay due to unforeseen events. Pressured by his father to find a girlfriend, he reluctantly downloaded a dating app and hired Megan as a “rental” girlfriend. Despite a poor first meeting, Megan unexpectedly won over his parents, leaving Weibin no choice but to keep up the act. 
 

维彬和Megan彼此产生好感，维彬的父母便安排他们单独约会。然而，Megan的前男友阿坤突然出现，揭露了她不堪的过去。为了不让维彬为难，Megan选择离开，这时维彬才意识到自己已深深爱上了她。那么，他们最终能否走到一起呢？  

Weibin and Megan developed feelings for each other, and Weibin’s parents arranged a date for them. However, Megan’s ex-boyfriend, Kun, suddenly appeared and revealed her troubled past. To avoid causing trouble for Weibin, Megan decided to leave. It was then that Weibin realized he had fallen in love with her. Will they ultimately end up together? 

心怡和家杰在电梯事故后感情加深，家杰求婚。但婚礼费用超出预算，他们看到招募分手情侣的恋爱综艺节目，决定报名参加。家杰为了奖金勉强同意。节目开始后，参与任务。家杰渐渐发现心怡的变化，对两人感情产生疑虑。  

After elevator accident, Xin Yi and Jia Jie grow closer, and Jia Jie proposes. However, wedding costs exceed their budget, so they join a dating reality show. Jia Jie begins doubting their relationship. 
 

家杰发现心怡与River关系亲密。依婷在坦白对家杰产生情感。心怡得知家杰在第一天的投票中获得全票后感到危机。最终，家杰和心怡配对成功，但感情渐行渐远，两人和平分手，回归朋友关系，最终都找到了自我。  

Jia Jie found Xin Yi is close with River. Yi Ting admits her feelings for him. Xin Yi feels insecure after Jia Jie gets all votes. They pair up, but grow apart, peacefully breaking up as friends.

文豪是个软弱的中学生，失去奶奶后更加沉默。兼职时，遇到小混混捣乱，回家后，天花板漏水，生活无力感加重。文豪因偷潜方叔家被误会为小偷，尽管被解围，却仍受指责。与咏琪一起遇到小混混，勇敢保护她，却遭暴打。  

Wen Hao, a high schooler grieving his grandmother, faces bully while working part-time. After a ceiling leak and a misunderstanding at Fang Shu's house, he bravely defends Yongqi, getting beaten up. 
 

文豪为保护咏琪被小混混暴打，尽管方叔警告对方停手，最终也未能逃过群殴。方叔用激将法帮助他重新找回方向，开始锻炼。随后，山哥找到方叔挑战决斗，最终在文豪的帮助下，方叔击败山哥，二人放下过去，迈向新开始。  

Wen Hao was beaten by bully while protecting Yongqi. Uncle Fang helped Wen Hao started training. And later Fang Shu defeated Shan Ge. Two of them let go of the past, moving towards a new beginning.
